I arrived at the Bannatyne Spa in Birmingham with my best friend and we were not disappointed. All we wanted was an afternoon of total relaxation and that's exactly what we got! I wish I'd thought to upgrade to a full body massage though as that would have made the day perfect. However, you can not fault this offer for quality or value for money and the facilities are top rate. We left happy and relaxed and both said we'd defintely do it again. (Posted on 16/05/2012)

-Review by ChattiePrice Value Quality Myself and my sister had our spa day at Bannatyne Spa, Solihull yesterday. We decided to take the train to save on the hassle of driving and was pleased to find that the centre was only a 5 min walk from the train station. We did notice there was plenty of parking if you did visit by car though. The centre itself was a reasonable size, set in nice surroundings and modern. Check in was quick & efficient and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We paid £2 each to hire a spa bag which contained a lovely fluffy robe, some slippers (which you are allowed to keep) and a large towel. There was a wide range of fitness classes to choose from (we did bodybalance and zumba) and we made good use of the well equipped gym. The equipment was really high quality - we were quite impressed with their touch screens!(TV/radio/games/workout info).
The bubble pool was great, as was the steam room and sauna. The swimming pool was a reasonable size also. Changing rooms were clean, plenty of lockers, seperate showers and there were hairdryers to use.
The cafe was reasonably priced and had a good range on the menu. (Mains were just £5, paninis etc £4). The food was lovely and service was quick. There were sofas and comfy armchairs to sit on and enjoy your coffees/lunch or read a mag in your robe.
We had two treatments included in our pamper day, a neck shoulder and back massage (which we upgraded to a lava shell massage for £5) and a facial. Both treatments were fabulous and very relaxing.
All in all a fantastic day, must better than expected. I will definitely be visiting again and i would highly recommend. There is only one negative - the day went far too quickly for my liking! (Posted on 16/03/2012) -
